Full Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be recruiting for an Operational Risk Analyst to join our Operational Risk Management team at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time permanent role and offers the benefits of a flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week, with a choice of working from home on the other days.

The overall purpose of this role is to support the implementation of local operational risk strategy in Triodos Bank UK; developing local operational risk framework, policy, and methodology, ensuring they are understood and effectively operated by the bank.

You will support 2nd line risk defence, enhancing analysis of the operational risk landscape to improve the banks risk profile. Working with 1st line of defence you will also plan and perform local risk identification and assessment, as well as conducting data analysis and creating management information to fulfil reporting requirements in forums and committees.

In addition, key responsibilities will require you to:

  • Support the implementation of the local operational risk, taking responsibility for the delivery of agreed aspects and being the first contact point for Co-workers.

  • Provide input and challenge to local operational risk mitigation; supporting and training business functions to identity, assess and implement risk mitigating measures.

  • Support the development and assist with the maintenance of the local operational risk framework, policy and methodology, and align with group operational risk policies and appetite

  • In partnership with the business units, proactively identify and resolve technical queries and identify and deliver training needs of the UK business where required.

  • Support the Senior Operational Risk Manager in performing and planning local operational risk identification and operational risk assessments, conducting self-assessments, and maintaining risk registers.

  • Perform local operational risk monitoring and operational risk reporting

    To be successful in this role you must have relevant experience gained within the operational risk management field and/or appropriate audit experience, with knowledge of risk management tools and processes. Relevant professional or academic degree qualifications are desirable for this opportunity.

The ability to balance conflicting priorities and create clear, realistic expectations for others is also essential to deliver high quality results in the rapidly changing environment.

    In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a salary of between £38,000 - £44,000 full time equivalent salary depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
