Join us as an Operational Tax Manager

  • This is an opportunity to support the management and control of current risk activity and policy compliance across our operational tax processes

  • It's a chance to engage with senior stakeholders to drive consistent execution and deployment of our operational tax framework

  • You'll be joining a fast-paced area of the bank, where you can expect great exposure both for you and your work

  • We're offering this role for a period of six months


  • What you'll do

    In your new role you'll support senior management to define and deliver our approach to the implementation of operational tax standards, for the execution of operational tax activities, and for alignment and coordination across your region. You'll facilitate consistency in processes to ensure compliance to operational tax regimes across the bank.

    Your role will also involve:
  • Supporting your team in ensuring effective and proactive ownership for the risk management framework

  • Making sure that we adhere to the operational tax strategy through adequate monitoring and analysis of management information

  • Acting as first point of contact for operational tax shared services interaction and liaising between operational tax shared services and our business

  • Supporting the operational tax management in providing risk-based learning, skills improvement, and operational tax training for client facing colleagues

  • Maintaining an overview of the operational execution activity to ensure accordance with policy standards and in line with all senior and regional stakeholder expectations

  • Proactively maintaining knowledge and understanding of changes to legislation and regulation and other industry developments


  • The skills you'll need

    To succeed in this role, you'll have experience of supporting the delivery of projects to a wide variety of stakeholders, within agreed quality standards and to include the tracking of and adherence to key milestones. Ideally, you'll have knowledge and experience of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and the Common Reporting Standard.

    You'll also need:
  • Experience in a change, risk, or regulated environment

  • The ability to prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
