Full Job Description
As the Operations Manager, you will play a leading role in the day-to-day operations of our services. Your primary focus will be ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of our young people. Collaborating closely with your Registered and Deputy Managers, you will lead a team of dedicated staff members and create a nurturing environment that promotes development opportunities and positive experiences for young people, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained.
Support with remaining compliant with the regulator Ofsted/CQC, liaise with stakeholders and oversee the leadership and management of the homes.,
- Ensure the smooth operation of residential homes, creating a safe and caring environment for all young people.
- Lead and inspire the support team through effective supervisions, probations, and appraisals.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality care delivery, adhering to regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with the support team to develop and implement individualized support plans and safety measures tailored to meet the needs of each young person, ensuring their overall well-being.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of each young person's progress.
- Work collaboratively with relevant professionals, families, and external agencies to create person-centred support plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment within the homes, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment for the young people.
- Plan and lead team meetings, as well as multidisciplinary discussions, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with external stakeholders.
- To investigate complaints and lead on investigations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Handle any crisis situations or incidents promptly and effectively, ensuring the implementation of appropriate safeguarding procedures and strategies.
- Lead the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures within the residential services.
- Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encourage their participation and listen to their perspectives.
Experience with autism and learning disability is advantageous as well as previous experience in a Registered Manager role, Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or care related setting. - Level 5 Health & Social Care (Recognised by CQC & Ofsted) is required.
- Two or more years of proven success in a management role.
- Strong skills in budget development and oversight.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organisational control of in-house operations and customer service.
- Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Knowledge of an aptitude for learning new applications., Bachelor's (preferred)
- Operations management: 5 years (preferred)
- Level 5 Health & Social Care Qualification (preferred)
