Full Job Description

  • Compile weekly incident reports by analysing data from various sources.

  • Track and address sewer misuse incidents in specific properties or areas.

  • Cleanse and present data for analysis, using graphs and charts.

  • Compare data sets before and after customer engagement campaigns.

  • Maintain and develop dashboards for team reporting.

  • Ensure data quality at all times.

  • The ability to educate others on the importance of protecting the environment.

  • An interest and passion for helping to address the challenges facing the water industry.

  • An interest in data analytics, management, presenting and visual communication.

  • An interest in finding and communicating data trends and their relevance to the business.

  • A self-starter with the ability to manage your own time and workload with the support of your manager.

  • The aptitude to acquire relevant skills by seeking out training and support from co-workers.

    The apprenticeship standard that will be completed is Data Technician Level 3, which has a typical duration of 24 months and finishes with an end point assessment.

    The contract of employment for completing this apprenticeship will last for the entire duration of the apprenticeship and end point assessment period.

    If you do not have a GCSE Grade 4/C or above in maths and English, you will be required to complete functional skills courses alongside the apprenticeship.

    Depending on the department, availability of roles and success upon completing the apprenticeship, you could be offered a permanent role with us.
