Production / Warehouse Operative

The duties of a Warehouse Operative include loading/ unloading of stock, processing stock condition, stock checking, inventory control, picking and packing of orders, and safe use of warehousing equipment to complete general tasks.

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working carefully, productively and to the best of their ability. The fast paced, energetic environment of the warehouse requires excellent organizational skills, with a key focus on maximizing efficiency. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably complete your duties as a Warehouse Operative. Many of these tasks may involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting. While the relevant training will be issued to successful applicants, having a good range of mobility is also important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing excessive strain on your body.

Previous experience in warehousing, storage, and customer service desirable, but not essential. More important is the willingness to learn and tackle challenges with diligence and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to the shifting situations within the work environment.

  With our headquarters in Pembrokeshire, South Wales and expansion to Poland in 2022, we are now a global company, with big ambitions. JLI is continuing our expansion within the UK, opening a brand new warehouse in Newport. This facility will employ up to 100 people when it reaches full capacity in Q3 2024.

2021 saw the launch of Jobalots, now the fastest growing B2B marketplace in Europe. We sell everything, including customer returns, overstock and bankrupt stock from retailers.

We expanded JLI into Poland in September 2022 and launched Jobalots EU. This gave us access to the European market and bypassed the import/export restrictions of leaving the EU. Our EU facility has seen rapid growth, allowing us to continue expanding within the UK and further afield.

In October 2023 we will open our new facility in Newport, Wales and continue our ambitious journey of growth and diversification.

• Ages 23+ - Starting at £11.50 per hour. £11.70 after the probation period has been completed.



• £16 bonus for any Saturday & Bank Holiday work


• £100 monthly bonus scheme based on Attendance (£30), Punctuality (£30) & Performance (£40). If the full bonus is achieved then the hourly rate would potentially be £12.28 based on ages 23+.



• Additional 20% Overtime rate for any work completed over 40 hours per week.



• Potential gross salary of £25,536 (age 23+) based on a 40 hour week and achieving the full bonus.


Working hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00


• Occasional Saturdays 08:00 - 16:00 (These days would be compensated with a day in lieu during the week).


• One 30-minute unpaid break per shift.


Please be aware this is a zero hour contract potentially leading to a full time position for the right candidate with opportunity for progression.
