Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor / Project Cost Consultant to join our Defence team and lead the commercial management function across various commissions.

You will have responsibility for delivering a scope of work in line with all pre & post contract stages of works, including use of cost models, investment appraisals, cost reporting and benchmarking data.

Role accountabilities:

  • Key member of the project delivery team

  • Manage our relationship with the client to ensure satisfaction by meeting client objectives

  • Support the delivery of cost management activity across the works programme

  • Assure compliance with contracts

  • Analyse and review complex information from a range of data sources and advise clients and internal stakeholders on potential implications

  • Develop cost management framework processes and policies and help lead the implementation of system improvements

  • Manage and build relationships with client project sponsors/stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status, or working towards

  • Strong technical knowledge

  • Experience in the Local Government, Central Government or Defence sectors preferred

  • Experience using digital cost tools such as CostX, 5D BIM etc

  • Due to the nature of the projects you'll be working
