Full Job Description

Are you a Charted Building Surveyor, Engineer or Surveyor? Are you looking for a new challenge within a growing organisation that makes a real difference to people's lives? If so, we want to hear from you., A team of Property Condition & DEA Assessors and Coordinators will work under your direction. Your team's role is to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data is maintained for us to deliver our Asset Management strategy, meet compliance requirements and achieve our retrofit targets. You will ensure the survey programme is delivered in a timely manner and the quality of the data is complete and accurate to support and inform decisions on investment.

Your role will be to lead the team that collects data on the condition of our homes, their energy performance, and the measures available to improve energy efficiency. You will ensure the survey programme is delivered and the collected data is consistent and meets the appropriate quality required. You will ensure your team is provided with guidance and support to deliver the service effectively. Actively contributing to the continuous review and development of work systems, you will liaise widely across the organisation to promote a culture of collaboration.

Chartered Building Surveyor, Charted Engineer or Chartered Surveyor.
- Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (D) or willing to work towards.
- Accredited PAS 2035 Retrofit Assessor (D) or willing to work towards.
- Relevant technical qualification or significant experience.
- Excellent written, IT, verbal and presentation skills.
- Basic Asbestos awareness.
- Chartered with experience of undertaking comprehensive property surveys within a residential setting.
- Building surveying and construction management skills and knowledge.
- Detailed understanding and application of the Decent Homes Standard as well as the Housing Health and Safety Rating Standard.
- Appreciation of the contribution housing can make to the goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and an understanding and application of the objectives of PAS 2035.
- Experience in the line management of teams of technical or surveying colleagues.
- Working knowledge and understanding of stock condition databases.
- Experience of building relationships with key influencers within the organisation.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
