Reactive Repairs Works Surveyor

The role of Reactive Repairs Works Surveyor is a key position within the team to carry out surveys and identify required responsive repairs and voids works to the Council's housing stock, communal and environmental areas. You will be preparing work schedules, instructing contractors and undertaking a full range of pre and post surveying services.

About the team:

The Reactive Repairs Work Surveyor will work as part of the Response Repairs and Voids team within the Housing Assets Department. You will have direct liaison with our external contractors as well as internal managers and staff, council tenants, the public, and elected members.

You will be qualified in a recognised relevant discipline or have proven equivalent expertise and knowledge of building construction and building defects. A positive and flexible 'can do' attitude, and the ability to use your own initiative as well as working as part of a team to provide good customer service is also a must. You will also have a high level of personal resilience and communicate confidently and empathetically with our tenants and the public.
