Full Job Description

Our Senior Oracle Fusion Designer/Engineers are responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation of new features and support of Oracle Fusion. As a senior member of the team, you will work with autonomy on projects from small service improvements to enterprise level changes, whilst helping other members of the team with the support and maintenance of the platform. You can expect to employ and enhance many of your skills, such as:

Design:

Designing services following established service design practices to ensure supportability, usability, and efficiency in the delivered solution.

Creation of Service Design Packs to ensure successful transition of services aligned to identified requirements and business goals.

Support:

Leading on complex incident resolution with the support of other Subject Matter Experts in the team.

Collaboration:

Work with our Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owner to translate visions and stories into actionable service improvements.

Work with our Customers to ensure that we are delivering the best quality service to support the people of Lancashire.

Implementation:

Engage in 'change managed' implementation activities such as data migrations, installations, testing and upgrades.

Liaise with and support other technical teams.

Mentoring:

Mentor junior staff and support colleagues in other parts of Digital Services

Act as an SME for solutions where you have led the delivery.

Who you will work with…

The Oracle Fusion Team sits within the Applications Operations Centre, and as a whole we are responsible for the 3 rd line support of Software Systems at Lancashire County Council and its partner organisations. The Oracle Fusion Team focusses on the successful delivery and support of the Fusion platform, and its related technologies.

We are a very supportive and close-knit team; and encourage an environment of psychological safety, where members of the team are encouraged to put forward ideas, suggest new ways of working, or learn about other technologies the team supports.

An experienced, creative, and pro-active Senior Oracle Fusion Designer/Engineer , with a history of implementing, supporting and improving Oracle Fusion services with a focus on HCM and/or Reporting working in a dynamic and digitally aligned organisation.

Digital Services at Lancashire County Council need your enthusiasm and dedication to enable us to deliver the best solutions and tools, to help our customer base support the people of Lancashire., We are a process-driven organisation aligning to ITIL methodologies, and previous experience with IT Service Management is desirable.

What we are looking for…

An experienced professional: As a senior member of the team, you should have at least three years' commercial experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM or reports. We are looking for candidates with a track record of scoping, designing, implementing, testing, and supporting solutions in ITIL aligned organisations. You should be able to think strategically, drive innovation, and demonstrate a logical approach to problem-solving.

A team player: You will need excellent communication skills to engage and involve other technical SMEs within Digital Services. You should be able to form close working relationships with stakeholders such as Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Customers, and our Assurance and Quality Control Teams. You should be articulate, open minded, confident, and able to communicate for your audience.

You will be working with everyone from directors to front-line staff, and you should be able to present a professional image that reflects the values of Digital Services and Lancashire County Council.

An ability to manage ambiguity: You will have a diverse portfolio of work with competing demands. You will need to respond to changes in priority to deliver your workload in the most efficient way. You will manage your work stack independently utilising the tools at your disposal whilst keeping the key stakeholders up to date on your progress.
