This role sits within our Integrated Front Door Team, which in other Local Authorities is referred to as the MASH. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and the skills of others within our team.

Whilst the role is none case holding, you will still be afforded the opportunity to have daily interactions with partner agencies outside of the Integrated Front Door and with families and members of the public.

This is a fast paced and exciting role whereby you will be screening, triaging and make threshold decisions relating to all new referrals to the Integrated Front Door. You will also be relied upon to provide your expert knowledge to professionals and families and contribute to strategy meetings and Section 47 (Child Protection) enquiries.

You will be motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills enabling you to build professional relationships with professionals who require advice and guidance and when making a referral.

You will have good knowledge and experience in safeguarding children, as well as being able to make timely and safe threshold decisions regarding children in need and children who need protecting and understand the current changes within children's social work.

You will act as a champion for service development and improvement within the department of Children's Social Care and Early Help, role modelling Research in Practice and undertaking high quality social work practice at the front door.

You will be able to complete Contacts and Referrals to an excellent standard and deliver accurate and concise information verbally and in written form., This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
