Stores Team Member

As a Stores Team Member, your responsibilities will include receiving, identifying, locating, issuing, stocktaking, and delivering consumables, lubricants, engineering spares, and other materials. You'll handle these tasks either manually or by using mechanical material handling equipment or vehicles, as needed.

Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in delivering the Annual Operating Plan related to Health and Safety, ensuring that targets are effectively managed.

Your specific duties will include:

• Providing a recording, monitoring, and controlling function for the issuance and receipt of all stores, spares, and direct charges, including lubrication and greases. These tasks must be carried out in full compliance with current Q.A. procedures, Environmental, Safety, and COSHH regulations.


• Ensuring that the services provided meet high technical standards and adhere to World Best practices.


• Handling the reception, location, packing, dispatch, and transportation arrangement of "Repairable Spares" under warranty items and non-conformance goods to suppliers.


• Conducting Q.A. approved Stock Checking procedures to maintain proper financial controls, as outlined in the Financial Controller's Manual. If any material is damaged, you'll raise a damage report for submission to the Stores Operations Controller/Stores and Spares Engineer.


• Operating a variety of vehicles and mechanical handling equipment.


• Inspecting vehicles and mechanical handling equipment before use, promptly reporting any defects.


• Ensuring strict adherence to Safe Working Practices and highlighting recommendations for a safer working environment.


• Updating computer databases, including requisition processing, stock control updates, and administration systems.
  
  The Stores Team Member should demonstrate flexibility and excellent teamwork skills. While experience in warehousing is desirable, possessing a crane, forklift, and/or reach truck license is advantageous.


The successful candidate must have:

• A strong awareness of health and safety practices in the workplace.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Self-motivation and a solid basic education.


• Computer literacy, with SAP experience being an advantage.


• A valid forklift license.


• The ability to multitask, including manual handling tasks.


• Keen attention to detail.
