Full Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Specialist and Quality Management team, the QA SME at the Samlesbury Budweiser Brewery plays a critical role in ensuring the constant improvement of Quality Performance through Quality KPIs improvement and implementations Quality initiatives at all levels. Maintains very good collaboration with functional departments, offering support in data analysis, problem solving and training of quality procedures. This position serves as a support for Quality team and functional departments in order to achieve 100% compliance to Food Safety and Quality Standards.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and trains out the Quality Checks related SOPs and RP in Quality and functional departments, manage skill matrix and performs OWDs to periodically validate the trainings.

  • Brewery Technology implementation review by leading dedicated improvement initiatives projects

  • Calculate Quality KPIs as part of morning routine

  • Quality Representative in function departments MCRS and trial meetings

  • Root cause analysis for Quality KPIs

  • Support in CIP validations and Hygiene improvement

  • Part of HACCP team - Internal Auditor and HACCP Training

  • Ordering lab consumables in SAP

  • Ensure cover for Sensory Coordinator responsibilities

  • Trained and able to organise Dispatch

  • Concessions and Hold Notes review with root cause analysis

  • Daily audit routine for hygiene and process efficiency check

  • Methods development and implementation for Quality analysis

  • Support with non-routine lab analysis to support problem solving

  • Support with validation of quality check equipment

  • The SMEs roles will cover the responsibilities between each other during holiday

  • The SME might be asked to cover part of FLM tasks during holidays

  • Provides support in preparation for Food/Feed Safety and VPO audits

  • Provides support in product development and innovations trials

  • Able to cover part of QA FLM/QS tasks during holidays

    Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry/Chemistry, Brewing Science, Engineering or related field.

  • Aware of safety procedures on site and act accordingly

  • Wider knowledge of impact on quality of the products hazards on site

  • Basic knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP

  • Laboratory experience with understanding of chemical calculations and measurements.

  • Understanding of statistics and experimental design.

  • Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft package (SharePoint, PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook), Power BI.

  • Good understanding of Sigma, Scada and SAP is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and safety-minded.

  • Leadership skills with effective interpersonal and team collaboration abilities.

  • Punctual, efficient, and customer-oriented.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Good communicator and confidence in sharing information and raising problems at all levels

  • Additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Previous process knowledge is recommended
