Full Job Description

We are signed up to the Greater Manchester Continuous Service Commitment ensuring that your service will be continuous or 'unbroken' between the supporting organisations.

The leisure and wellbeing service forms part of the Resource Directorate and is responsible for delivering various leisure services across Wigan Council.

Our aim is to increase participation in sport and encourage everyone to get active and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

You will support the leisure centres in delivering a wide and diverse program ensuring we are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and passionate swim teachers with experience of teaching school groups, LTS programmes, Parent & Child lessons and one to one lesson.

Ideally you will have experience of teaching Swim England's LTS framework. You will need to be an approachable, positive role model with a fun, engaging approach and a talent for teaching that meets individual's needs.

You'll need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to working hours, to suit the needs of the business with the natural ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, putting people at ease, with a real can-do attitude;

nothing is too much hassle for you.

Salary : Grade 5, £20,362 - £22,532 per annum. £12.80 - £14.16 per hour

30 hours 30 minutes per week

Your role :

To work as one of a team of Swimming Teachers providing instruction / teaching within the Be Well team across the Wigan Borough.

To provide a high-quality service in accordance with the swimming programme.
