Full Job Description

Are you a motivated and responsible Warehouse Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity? Then come join us at Rondanini, in our Italian food warehouse and production facility based in Trafford Park, Manchester, and be a part of our dedicated team.,

  • Lead by example and role model positive behaviour and work ethic.

  • Ensure the team are multi-skilled across all roles and duties in the warehouse.

  • Co-ordinate daily tasks and delegate fairly.

  • Conduct investigations, as required (underperformance, accidents, stock damage, etc.)

  • Motivate and inspire the team through inclusion and effective communication.

  • Manage the performance of the team and measure performance through accurate records and relevant targets.

  • Identify performance gaps and provide training and support.

  • Ensure an accurate record of stock levels is kept and maintained.

  • Enter stock, release orders, amend orders and produce invoices on Navision system.

  • Keep paper records up to date (for e.g. cleaning records, temperature checks, forklift checks, etc.)

  • Deal with and resolve queries and issues, quickly and effectively.

  • Ensure clean work areas are maintained at all times.

  • Ensure the team complies with Health & Safety laws and rules at all times.

  • Comply with all Rondanini's policies and procedures with regards to Food Safety, Quality and legality at all times

  • Complete daily attendance registers, record and forward onto the departmental manager.

  • Coordination & verification of completed documentation to ensure a high level of accuracy is maintained.

  • Ensure daily production target plans are achieved and frequently monitored.

  • Monitor personal & working hygiene practices within departments to ensure a high level of standard is maintained.

  • Ensure customer orders are correctly assembled, double checked.

  • Repair any broken or open boxes to avoid wastage and unnecessary breakages.

  • Ensure compliance of absenteeism and return to work procedures and policies.

  • Follow Company procedures when dealing with/settling grievances on behalf of warehouse operatives.


  • Keep up to date and respond accordingly to all enquiries;

  • Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change;

  • Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements;

  • Keep records up to date (for e.g. cleaning records, temperature checks, forklift checks, etc.);


  • Promote equal opportunities within the team.

  • Undertake any training that may be required or desirable.

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required commensurate with the post that may be determined following consultation between yourself and Warehouse Manager.

  • To assist during internal/external audits as required.

  • Any other tasks as reasonable required by the Group.

    At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse role

  • PPT licence essential

  • Physically fit and able to comfortably carry heavy loads, within guidelines

  • A reach forklift licence is desirable

  • Highly motivated with a positive, can-do, and flexible attitude

  • Able to work with speed and urgency, whilst maintaining safety

  • Team player with a professional and personable approach to colleagues and customers

  • Attention to detail

    To provide an outstanding service to customers through efficient loading and unloading, picking and packing of stock and ensure the highest cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the warehouse. Where required, assist in the delivery of orders to Rondanini's customers, offering a world class customer service.
