Warehouse International Packer

Sil-Mid has a growing international business and can see this a as a key strategic opportunity. The Warehouse International Packer will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, ensuring all orders are packed and shipped accurately and in accordance with IATA, ADR and IMDG requirements. The Warehouse International Packer should have valid IATA, ADR and IMDG certification and should hold a valid driving licence along with a Counterbalance forklift truck licence in addition a Bendi licence is a distinct advantage.

Your Duties:

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pack, label and ship).


• Working to a high level of accuracy and pace.


• Reviewing stock prior to shipping to make sure that it is safe for transport and free from any defects.


• Pack in accordance with relevant shipping method (IATA, ADR, IMDG).


• Creating Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN's) using DG Office software.


• Updating shipments using the ERP System.


• Receive and process warehouse stock products (put away, label and store)


• Suggests ways to improve procedures and working methods within the team/department


• Make sure that all areas of the warehouse are always safe, clean and tidy.


• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.


• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures rules and regulations.
  
  Bachelor's degree required or at least 4 years in a related industry.


• 5-6 years lead or International/ Export Packing experience required, aerospace experience a plus!


• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100/AS9120 quality standards.


• Working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, common carrier and international shipping systems and requirements, including IATA, air shipments and hazardous materials.


• D.O.T. 49 CFR/IATA - Hazmat Training.


Work Authorisation/Security Clearance Requirements:

To conform to UK Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a UK citizen, lawful permanent resident of the UK, or eligible to obtain the required authorisation from HMRC.,
• Certificate of Higher Education (preferred), Warehouse experience: 4 years (preferred)
