Full Job Description

To maintain and control the goods in process in order to meet production requirements for the Tattenhall site, handling all documentation and ensuring stock is stored according to procedures and at optimum levels, using rotation and goods to be made available for production as required., All activities are to be carried out within the policies and procedures of the Group, as set out in the Employee Handbook.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Check paperwork against dates received

Report discrepancies to Procurement

Make sure certain stock is segregated in line with site allergen policy (ie. soya with soya, Milk with Milk)

Must hold both Counterbalance and Reach truck licenses - essential

Updating of the warehouse spreadsheet, including:

- Transfering stock locations

- Booking out of goods

- Book goods received in

- Rotation of stock

- Print off labels for stock in location to maintain control of stock

- Keeping warehouse clean, tidy and orderly to enable stock to be easily located and controlled

- Sorting out of returns from production and pasteurisation (count, label and put in location)

- Preparing the warehouse in readiness for BRC audits

- Reporting of any defects to engineering staff

- Pick goods for pasteurization, Hall 1 & 2 daily

- Stocktake monthly

- Stocktake other areas when required

- Use of Reach truck/FLT, as required

Additional activities include:

- Produce lists for Hall 1, Hall 2 and pasteurisation from the procurement spreadsheet

- Do the Stock list for products for pasteurisation needs 2 days in advance

- Manage the waste spreadsheet: this involves taking readings on the waste tank and water daily

- Help on yard unloading goods

- Clean/Tidy the yard

- Cover for OUTBOUND goods to support colleagues as and when when required

- Cover for hall 1

- Cover for hall 2

- Cover for flint when required

- Assisting finance with delivery queries

- Collect paperwork from pasteurisation after milk and cream deliveries

- Reproduce picking lists and action following any production plan changes

- Random stock checks when asked by Debbie/Rob

- Dropping packaging for hall 2

- On a Friday put stock away in pasteurisation

Health & Safety

· Operate within the scope of the Beechdean Health & Safety Policy and associated safe working procedures

· Report any issues to the Beechdean Health and Safety representative.

Other Duties

Any other duties as required to fulfil the needs of the role.
