Welder / Fabricator

Duties will include:

• Must excel in all forms of welding TIG, MIG, gas. All aspects of welding should be to the highest standard in ferrous/non-ferrous metals.



• Fabricate and assemble structural metal products, such as framework or shells for metal parts for canopies, walkways and other structures according to job order, verbal instructions, and CAD drawings: Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.



• Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as Ring rollers, Pipe bending machines, Cropping, Mill, drill presses.



• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape.



• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products.



• Set up and operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops, such as Bridgeport Mill, Lathe.



• General House Keeping - cleaning & keeping your work area tidy including basic maintenance of machines/tools.



• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and to maintain all quality systems in order to meet your production targets.
  
  Should be a highly motivated team player, with a meticulous nature.



• Self-management of time and deadlines essential



• Ability to handle pressure and to work to tight time frames when necessary.

We also design and manufacture our own range of BBQs and outdoor living furniture, so never a dull repetitive day here.

Our working hours are 40 hours per week with the factory open 08.00am - 17.00pm Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 14.00 Friday.

Salary negotiable depending upon experience.
