This is one of the hardest judgements to make. What is a “reasonable” amount of time?? So difficult to know when is right. First contact of a blind submission I think could be in one month. Ask the assistant when you should check back in. And don’t do it before they tell you. You want to show persistence, but respect as well. Always ask, if possible, WHEN they would like you to check back in n
