As an active government employee, I am teleworking full time. As such, I see telework as a disadvantage for younger newer employees, as they don't get the formal and informal mentoring that would be available if they were in a traditional office setting and working closely with older more experienced employees. Encourage people to come on camera during virtual meetings at least for the opening it feels more personal. Given this, meeting too frequently can create fatigue. Our team meets three times a week for at least 30 minutes to keep everyone in touch and answer questions and give updates. We also use instant messaging in between meetings to keep the collaboration and communication going!
