We all are well-versed in the project management, or so to say creating a fantastic WBS. However, the thing that is often overlooked is the identification and mitigation of risks. Every project is unique, still for many projects, the operating boundaries are the same. Hence the "familiarity" with the environment creates a false sense of completeness. The PM thinks that a particular risk "will not happen in his/her project". Identify the risk, plan the mitigation and allocate the resources. More often than not, the project will finish within the tolerance.
