Listening to team memebrs with full attention ensuring respect definitely help them to raise their voice and share ideas for improvement especially in some crtical projects. Active Listening to the ideas and putting actions against them really helps in achieving desired results. Healthy discussions, sharing feedback, tracking action items are key to success for any deparments/companies.

A melhor maneira de ter uma escuta ativa com a equipe é retirar o colaborador do seu posto de trabalho e começar a conversar sobre o seu dia na empresa, escutando e acrescentando mais perguntas, conforme a conversa vai ganhando conteúdo, inclusive do seu dia, sabendo do que ele almeja na empresa, para a vida, família. Aproveito para conversar no pátio da garagem, em pequenas viagens a serviço da empresa, longe dos olhares dos demais, pois percebo que quando o colaborador vem na minha sala, as pessoas ficam olhando pelas vidraças e o colaborador fica constrangido.

In my experience it is beneficial to take some time for reflection before responding or offering advice. Actively listening encourages individuals to share their feelings and ideas openly. By taking time to reflect before responding you are validating the persons openness and showing you value this. In that time of reflection you may want to delve deeper into some of the information shared. In doing so your response will often be more educated and impactful. I find this is appreciated by the person or group that you have been interacting with.

I received feedback that I need to improve my listening skills. Although I thought I was listening, there was an opportunity for growth identified, and I took it. Here are some ways that I am practicing to become a better listener: During virtual meetings, I raise my hand to let the Chair know I want to contribute. I take notes of the key highlights, and if I am unclear, I privately chat with the person to seek clarification. I maintain a positive intent by reminding myself that every engagement is a learning opportunity, even if I feel otherwise. I avoid completing other people's sentences and allow them to finish their presentations before I contribute to the conversation. Finally, as an extrovert, I train myself to be quiet more.

Cabe ao gestor incentivar a colaboração das equipes e uma das melhores ferramentas para isso é saber ouvir de fato sua equipe e demais colaboradores.
