#OTD in 1977, Master Sgt. Tara Brown, one of OSI’s fallen heroes, was born in East Meadow, New York. She graduated from Deltona High School in Florida in 1995 and joined the Air Force soon after. On April 27, 2011, near Kabul, Afghanistan, Brown and seven other Airmen, along with an American civilian contractor, were killed by an Afghan gunman.
