We love this story! So many of us share the powerful story of influencing student lives. But take a look at this one! #adkproud It was on this day 44 years ago when our Past International President June Bellamy made a HUGE impact on my life❣️❣️I, Yolanda Charmain Middlebrooks would like to thank you Mrs. Bellamy for the wonderful memories I had in your classroom back then and for the new memories that we are creating now. Words cannot express my gratitude for all that you have done for me❣️Thank you for (7) wonderful years❣️

Thank you Georgia members for supporting your community! They had the opportunity to pick up bags from Adventure Bags and bring them to the Newnan Police Department. This is one way to help serve one of Georgia's state altruistic projects. #adkpartnerships #adkaltruism

Thank you Manitoba Beta for supporting your students! #adkscholarships #adkproud Congratulations to Kryztofer Lundy, recipient of Beta's Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship. Dorthy shared how Kristofer made a point of saying how pleased he was to be the recipient. He wants to teach at St. James Collegiate once he gets his teaching certificate! Both he and the school were very pleased.

More 2024 Longest Day photos! Thanks North Carolina Sigma! #adkpartnerships #ENDALZ Some Sigma sisters gathered for the Longest Day to walk the new Shelby trail! It wasn't too bad in the shade and was a pleasant 1.4 mile walk. (It was hard for the photographer to see her camera in the sunlight, but at least we're all in it!)

More Longest Day activities! #adkpartnerships #ENDALZ Sigma chapter members celebrated The Longest Day by walking at the park with a stop to take a picture with the tree dedicated to our sister, Nancy Mann. After walking, we created mosaic garden stones using purple tiles.

The Virginia Alpha Delta chapter has awarded its 2024 Anita Ernouf Scholarship to Ashley Nelson. A member of the Randolph-Henry High School Class of 2024, Nelson graduated with an associate’s degree in general studies from Southside Virginia Community College. This fall, she will attend Longwood University to major in Elementary Education. “I truly believe education is my calling. . . I am so honored to receive this scholarship,” said Nelson. The Virginia Alpha Delta chapter was founded in 1971 and has enjoyed supporting deserving high school and college students for over fifty years. This scholarship is given in memory of Dr. Anita B. Ernouf— a founding member of Virginia Alpha Delta, and a member of the modern languages faculty at (then) Longwood College from 1960-1985. Recipients of this award are aspiring educators who demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to community service, and evidence of a teacher’s heart. Virginia Alpha Delta also recently initiated a new member, Mrs. Tracy Jordan, a veteran teacher of Charlotte County Public Schools. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Longwood University with a teaching certification in pre-K-8. She teaches second grade at Eureka Elementary School, and in May, was recognized during the monthly CCPS School Board meeting for 30 years of service.
