The mission of this group is for LGBTQIA+ associates and allies across KnitWell Group’s brands—Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, LOFT, and Talbots—to network, share common experiences, and foster an environment where everyone can be their most authentic selves. Jennifer’s Ann Taylor boomerang story is one-of-a-kind. Her Ann Taylor journey began in 1996, leading store teams in Arizona before departing briefly. She found her way back to Ann Taylor and has celebrated 12 work anniversaries with us! Jennifer has grown her career by taking on new challenges, from serving in various leadership positions in stores to being the first Regional Project Manager supporting Ann Taylor (and our sister brand LOFT!). Now, as the new District Manager for our Central & Texas markets, she’ll use her extensive brand knowledge to support and inspire her teams. When reflecting on her career journey, Jennifer emphasizes, “What I love most about this journey is the relationships I have built over the years. Whether with my customers that have become friends, the amazing leaders I have worked with through the years, mentors I have met along the way, or my peers that I have had the pleasure of working with side by side – these relationships are so valuable!” Her favorite motto? “Embrace the journey, not the destination.” We couldn’t love this more. Tonimarie, Merchandise Planner Manager at Ann Taylor, found her way to the retail field because of a friend's suggestion. "In school, I always gravitated towards math and problem-solving; outside of school, I loved shopping. A friend of mine suggested merchandise planning to combine the two things I liked," she explains. In her role, she collaborates on product assortments that meet the needs of Ann Taylor's customers. She works cross-functionally to execute business strategies by building collections that embody the brand and client experience. When asked what her favorite part about working at Ann Taylor, Tonimarie says, "My favorite thing these past six years has always been the people. It can be very underrated that we spend more time with our co-workers than most of our friends and family. I am lucky to have found not only mentors but some of my closest friends here."
