Prevention with a Purpose…April is Child Abuse Prevention Month – nationally recognized as a time to raise awareness and prevention efforts around child abuse. Staff planned pinwheel painting, and pinwheels. It was our opportunity this week to honor the children and families we serve, celebrate with our partners across the city, and highlight the importance of community education. The display of pinwheels will represent children and their journey towards healing from abuse. The pinwheel is the national symbol of child abuse prevention—representing childhood happiness and the bright futures of all children we serve.
