Celebrating a Golden Work Anniversary is rare. According to the BLS, the average US job tenure in 2022 was less than 5 years! Throughout her 50-year career, Julie Greening has contributed to countless BlueScope Buildings projects. We're honored to celebrate Julie's career and wish her all the best as she retires this month. Julie began her career with Butler Manufacturing on April 15, 1974, as a Key Punch Operator. In 1977, she was promoted to Order Entry Coordinator. In 1981, she landed her current position as Plant Scheduler. Julie has demonstrated unwavering commitment through her work and received multiple Perfect Attendance recognitions. She is also a Butler Cup Club Award recipient. While such lengthy careers are uncommon, opportunities to grow with BlueScope Buildings abound. Hundreds of our employees have recognized 10+ year anniversaries. Julie knows the secret to career success includes: • on-the-job training • continuing education • job promotions • new business initiatives • and collaboration. Thank you, Julie! #WorkAnniversary #Gratitude

Thanks to everyone who made the 2024 #TakeYourChildtoWorkDay event a success at our headquarters in Kansas City! Days like this inspire youth in our communities and help instill a mindset that empowers them to choose their future. The children took office tours, learned about job site safety, made structures out of noodles and marshmallows, ate pizza, and had fun being onsite.

Understanding the environmental impact of construction projects through life cycle analysis is crucial for companies striving to decarbonize their supply chains. This is a complex process, says Leise Sandeman, co-founder of Pathways, but fortunately, advancements in AI offer a solution to navigating the vast amounts of data generated in various formats throughout the construction process. Sandeman highlights how AI can streamline data analysis, providing greater visibility into supply chains. This capability is essential for creating and updating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which are becoming the industry standard for disclosing a product's environmental impacts. Dynamic life cycle analysis, coupled with advanced material tracking software and collaboration with stakeholders, holds the key to transforming traditional supply chains into sustainable, low-carbon value chains.
