We are expanding our service department and looking for a Service Technical Advisor at our state-of-the-art facility in Germantown, Wisconsin. The qualified individual will be responsible for: • Provide technical support to sales representatives, installing contractors and maintenance personnel • Provide feedback to Service Manager regarding system quality, warranty costs, potential improvements, and other field information • Review warranty claims and process warranty and non-warranty component shipments • Review factory start-up reports completed by others. Document job site design issues and activate warranties • Lead Owner Startup Training or other training on Desert Aire products • Provide factory start-up supervision at jobsites in U.S. and Canada. • Travel approximately 12 nights per month. The Technical Service Advisor we are looking for will have: • Technical school HVAC training and/or 3 years of commercial refrigeration work experience • Ability to read and comprehend electrical ladder diagrams and piping schematics • Skilled in the use of Voltmeters, Amp probes and Magnehelics / Manometers • Working knowledge of refrigerant reclaim machines, vacuum pumps, micron gauges and air balancing instruments • Strong refrigeration background • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) • Good written and verbal communication skills • Valid EPA refrigerant handling license • Satisfactory driving record Desert Aire offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including, health, dental, vision and life insurance, other voluntary benefits, 401K with a generous match and profit sharing, holidays, personal days, vacation and tuition reimbursement. The Gatlinburg Community Center worked with Desert Aire Representative C.I.S.-Tennessee to replace an existing dehumidifier with a Desert Aire SelectAire™ SA30 dehumidification system designed and built for large community recreational pools. The SelectAire unit includes self-monitoring via Desert Aire’s cloud-based AireGuard™.   The nearly 3,500+ sq ft pool area and nearly 300 sq ft spa environment is maintained at a higher-than-normal temperature of 86°F air temperature with 60% relative humidity with a spa water temperature of 102°F. Water is part of the cost of plant production, whether it's cannabis or micro-greens. By collecting the moisture transpired by plants as condensate from your HVACD equipment, you can conserve considerable amounts of water. An HVAC unit’s condensate water from its evaporator coil can be reclaimed to water the plants in the room it dehumidifies. How much water are we talking about? A large Desert Aire GrowAire unit in a grow room application can collect up to 347 lbs of water an hour. In a cannabis flower room, that would result in as much as 500 gallons of water saved per week with mature plants. That’s 71 gallons a day, 500 gallons a week, 26,000 gallons a year or a typical 18’x36’ swimming pool 4- to 8-ft deep. That’s a lot of water! A superior HVAC system evaporator coil coating means condensate water is less likely to pose a risk to plants due to metals and other chemical contaminants in condensate water that’s reused to water plants. Desert Aire’s HVAC system evaporator coil coating in grow applications provides superior performance in preventing corrosion and fin deterioration. Our coating is a water-based, low VOC coating process engineered specifically for HVAC/R heat transfer coils. In the coating process, the entire coil assembly is protected.
