Our Pathways to Purpose Program was created to help our students by connecting them to places, people and opportunities they would not be able to access on their own. This program includes unique experiences that allow students exposure to Indy companies, area colleges and Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Pathways to Purpose has 4 main goals: – Exposing students to colleges, careers, and businesses. – Equipping students with soft skills, leadership, and financial literacy training. – Empowering students with college and career mentoring, social-emotional support, career & personality assessments, and ACT/SAT prep sessions. – Engaging students in internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and community college events. https://lnkd.in/eMvxddYx

This month we are cheering on some of our alumni who have become Thriving Contributors following high school. Check back in every Wednesday for a new story. Mariana was a part of the Arsenal Tech High School graduating Class of 2022. She is currently studying elementary education at University of Indianapolis. When asked to share a quote of her own, she shared, “Long-term goals for me are to work as a full-time educator alongside non-profits, building my own classroom and helping intergrade STEM into more elementary school around Indiana.” Once in Elevate, Always in Elevate - we are excited to support Mariana as she works to her goal of building her own classroom to impact other students like herself.

Our Sports & Adventure program is a key component of our strategy to engage youth in positive activities. Through this program, students spend quality time with Teacher-Mentors learning teamwork, discipline, and resilience as well as experiencing micro successes and failures in a safe environment. Adventure-based activities offer our students new experiences and challenges, promoting personal growth and self-confidence. By involving students in these activities, we not only keep them engaged and active but also help them develop critical life skills that can steer them away from violence and towards more promising futures. Learn more about our Sports & Adventure program and support our efforts as we begin the 2024-2025 program year! https://lnkd.in/exFPqYvP

Eastside Pipeline Manager with Elevate Indianapolis | SHRM, ATD, Youth Mentoring | Who's Who 2023 Honoree Listee
Thursday & Friday were spent with these 27 young people. That's 27 young people who attend different public schools, in different grades (some now Alumni), in different parts of the city of Indianapolis, from different upbringings, who came together to build community. 22 of the 27 had never camped before or been white water rafting. About half had never left the state. Though the time was little (2 days & 1 night), there were so many wins for them and for us as people, communities, neighborhoods, and a city. At times we get so lost in the day-to-day routine of expectation, that we forget how important having adventure really is! Disconnecting from the virtual world and the stresses/worries around us, connecting with nature, taking safe & calculated risks, having fun (being a kid), and ultimately connecting to the source of life (thank you God). Thank you Camptown, Inc. for your continued partnership and helping make experiences like this possible! #ElevateIndianapolis #Elevate #Experiencelife #Virtualdisconnect #Adventure

Will you help give our city’s youth the attention and support they need to achieve success? Please help us end our fiscal year strong by sending your best gift by June 30th to help in our efforts to raise $150,000. You know that Elevate Indy is supported by charitable donations. You deserve to know what’s at stake if this critical funding isn’t raised. Here’s just part of what your gifts make possible: • Year-long, day-by-day classroom learning, character development, and essential workforce skills preparation. • A Teacher-Mentor that gives students one-on-one support, available 24/7 so students are mentored every day – in the peaks and the valleys of their lives. • Sports and Adventure programming that challenges students to try new things and embrace new opportunities, fundamental to overcoming trauma. • Goal setting and post-secondary preparedness so students can be on a path to upward economic mobility. Send in your support the way that you prefer: Donate Online: Visit https://lnkd.in/g9f4eUva Text to Donate: Text “ELEVATEINDY” to 53-555 Non-cash Giving: email us at info@elevateindy.org for information Mail a Check: Send to P.O.
