You don’t forget the people who believe in you early. The people who believe before: - the metrics start stacking up - before the brand is built - before you’re a proven entity Whether it’s your earliest customers or earliest investors, the people that take that early risk, jump in when things are still really hard and give you the opportunity to realize the vision. Nick Dolik is one of those people. On this week's episode of The GTM Podcast by GTMnow, Nick and I dive deep into the world of venture debt: -The current state of the financing environment for startups. -Venture debt: what it is, how it works, and why it exists. -Advantages of venture debt for founders and when to consider it. -The importance of building long-term relationships in the venture capital world. -Nick's unconventional path into venture capital and lessons learned. -The value of getting "closer to the sun" when pursuing a career in VC. -Common misconceptions about the founder-investor relationship. etc etc. If anyone is looking for a partner with high conviction and high integrity - a high output investor who is also just a really good human - Nick is your guy. Have a listen wherever you 🎧 to your pods.

🗽✨ Few things get me as pumped as chopping it up with other (NYC) founders! Got the chance to join a kickass dinner for founders + investors hosted by the amazing team at GTMfund last week. Hearing about the groundbreaking ideas folks are working on was truly energizing, and I loved getting to share the good work we're doing at Novellia to empower patients with access to their complete health records + tools to support their health journey. I might have come away with a few new ideas from completely different industries! ;) Nights like these remind me why I love building in New York. The diversity of thought, the collaborative spirit, the sheer determination to make a difference - it's all here, and it's contagious. (don't mind the current heat wave) Big thanks to my fellow founders and the GTMFund team for the insights, connections, and motivation. Let's keep pushing boundaries and creating positive change! 💪🏽🚀 CC: Paul Irving #NYCTech #HealthTech #StartupLife
