Happy Independence Day! We'd like to take this time to remind you that our office is closed today, and leave you with a tidbit of history. The official printer for the Continental Congress, John Dunlap, created the first printed copies of the American Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. After the Declaration was adopted by Congress earlier that day, a committee brought the manuscript, likely Thomas Jefferson's "fair copy" of his rough draft, to Dunlap for printing. By the morning of July 5, members of Congress dispatched copies to various assemblies, conventions, and committees of safety, as well as to Continental Army commanders. The exact number of copies, known as "the Dunlap broadside," printed on the night of July 4 is unknown. There are currently 25 copies in existence: 20 are owned by American institutions, two by British institutions, and three by private individuals. Shown here is a copy from the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration. #FourthofJuly #IndependenceDay #DelcarationofIndependence #JohnDunlap #JohnHancock #AmericanHistory #LibraryofCongress #LOC #History Source: https://hubs.ly/Q02FhH8x0

Our CEO Beth Maser shared some great wisdom and insight in her interview with Bizjournals.Com LLC. She is an inspiration to so many who might be scared or uncomfortable saying "yes" to new things. To quote Beth: "self-correcting mistakes are not failure — it’s strategic learning." Learn more about her story in the article below. #WomenCEO #BizJournals #InHerOwnWords #InspirationalWomen
What a pleasure (if not a bit surreal) to think through the many journeys that brought me to HAI my favorite job yet – leading and growing this awesome company. We are all taught that “no” is a complete sentence – and that is certainly true. However, my entire career, I’ve leaned into the discomfort of also saying “yes” to new experiences and challenges, even when I was afraid. Without these learning moments, I would not be the professional I am or in the position I am today. Teaching others to say yes, take risks, and discover what they are capable of is not just something I still love to do, but something I will continue to encourage all of the women in my orbit. Thank you, Ellen Sherberg for the opportunity to share my story and philosophy. https://lnkd.in/eUZu9Tyb

What?! No! They had an affair?! Now way… they said that?! Did they clap back? Where’s the corresponding letter? This is so juicy!
