As we continue to hear the emotional stories about the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in Houston, our hearts go out to those impacted — especially our team members at George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport, along with their families. We are proud that during such a difficult time, HMSHost is able to offer those in need of financial assistance the opportunity to apply for a grant to help offset the cost associated with recovering from this natural disaster. For the second consecutive year, we hosted our JBF@ORD Chef Series at O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to celebrate Chicago's rich culinary scene as O'Hare prepared to welcome hundreds to the city for The James Beard Foundation's (JBF) prestigious James Beard Awards — often called the “Oscars of the food industry.” We offered those traveling to or through the airport the chance to meet James Beard Award-winning chefs, bakers, and restaurateurs, and taste some of their culinary creations. It's just one of the ways we are making the journey as exciting as the destination for travelers.
