About us
HomeAid Southern Nevada was founded in 2004 under the guidance of Bill June of Beazer Homes. Our mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education. We carry out this mission through: • Shelter build projects • Outreach programs • Education and awareness in the community The HomeAid Southern Nevada chapter is sponsored by the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA). Since we opened our doors, more than 193,000 square feet have been built and renovated, and over 5,200 homeless children and adults have been served through the great work of countless builders, trades, sponsors and volunteers involved with HomeAid Southern Nevada. We have seen tremendous success with HomeAid's shelter build projects and community outreach programs through partnerships with homeless nonprofit organizations such as: St Jude’s Ranch for Children, Lutheran Social Services, Women’s Development Center, Family Promise, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, WestCare Women's & Children's Campus, Project 150, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and Calvary Downtown Outreach.

This month, we completed our renovation project with Shine a Light Foundation. For this project, our Build Captain, Tri Pointe Homes, renovated Shine A Light's donation room. We transformed this space by replacing the flooring, repairing drywall, adding fresh paint, installing new window treatments and baseboards, and finally installing new custom shelving to house donations. We cannot say thank you enough to Tri Pointe Homes for leading this project as our Build Captain. We also want to thank every single one of the subcontractors who donated their time and materials to this project. This project wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you, and we are incredibly grateful. Our 2024 Baby Essentials Drive has come to an end! We collected 17,529 diapers, 1,811 ounces of baby formula, 36,558 baby wipes, 174 pacifiers, 154 sippy cups, and 138 baby bottles for The Shade Tree of Las Vegas, Living Grace Homes, and HELP of Southern Nevada. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers, donation box hosts, and everyone who contributed to this drive! We are so excited to be able to give back to these amazing organizations.
