Alcoa® Wheels Howmet Aerospace had an incredible opportunity to collaborate with the Forging Industry Association for their summer camp Forge the Future Camp Cleveland in Cuyahoga Community College, aimed at middle grade students interested in exploring careers in manufacturing. Our team was thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at our manufacturing processes through an engaging company video and an educational presentation. Students learned all about the forging process for Alcoa® Wheels, gaining valuable insights into the world of manufacturing. A special shoutout to our talented process engineer, Matthew Brockett, who captivated the students with a hands-on demo using miniature forging dies. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they participated in the demo and took part in a fun quiz conducted by our amazing interns. To top it all off, we brought out an antique Play-Doh forging press, giving the students a tangible and memorable experience of the forging process. We remain passionate about inspiring the next generation and showcasing the exciting possibilities within manufacturing. Thank you to the Forging Industry Association for hosting such an impactful event. From the very beginning – all the way back in 1940 – Huckbolts have been game changers in joint design and #innovation. What makes them so special? Huckbolts are engineered #fasteners that provide consistent, measurable clamp, so your #engineering team knows their joint will perform exactly the way they designed it to. We do this with direct-tension installation rather than torque fastening, and our version of a bolt and nut fastens permanently during installation for superior vibration resistance. Check our website out to learn even more about how #Huck works. #huckisforever

For a bold and menacing look, our Dura-Black® finish is the ultimate choice. It looks and performs like nothing else on the road. This finish combines a striking appearance with the durability and low maintenance you expect from Alcoa® Wheels. Dura-Black® provides a sleek, black look that stands out from traditional finishes, giving your vehicle a modern and aggressive edge. Along with its eye-catching appearance, the Dura-Black™ surface treatment offers excellent resistance to corrosion and wear, ensuring your wheels stay in top condition. Like our other surface treatments, Dura-Bright® and Dura-Flange®, Dura-Black™ is designed to resist dirt and grime, making it easy to keep your wheels looking great with minimal effort. How can you identify the Dura-Black™ surface treatment within an Alcoa® part number? It’s indicated with a “BLK” after the five-digit wheel family number. So, if the wheel family is 88565x, the part number for a Dura-Black™ wheel is 88565BLK. Please check if the wheel you are specifying offers this finish option https://lnkd.in/eB6z4j4W.
