😯 Did you hear? ŌURA recently announced that the #OuraRing is now eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement. Wow! Why is this important? By allowing consumers to use HSA/FSA funds to purchase an advanced health tracker without a letter of medical necessity, Oura - by way of the IRS - is paving a path to make precision and preventative medicine more affordable. We’re sharing this because LifeOmic believes in the power of measuring, aggregating and analyzing health data as a critical part of advancing healthcare. The LifeOmic Platform can integrate with Oura Ring, Fitbit, Garmin and many other wearables, medical devices and health databases. If you’re building a new device, wearable, health platform or mobile app, consider our secure cloud platform as the foundation for your data aggregation, storage and analytical needs. #healthcare #HSA #FSA #patientoutcomes #sleep #medicaldevices https://lnkd.in/gqiiziDX
Great article in Reuters about how #AI can (and will) be used to speed up clinical trials in drug development 💊 Key highlights: - Expediting clinical trial patient recruitment by using AI to scan public health records, prescription data, insurance claims and an internal data to identify eligible patients in half the time. - Potentially reducing how many patients are needed in each clinical trial by using real-world data as control groups (particularly in rare disease cases which can be difficult to recruit for). - Reducing bias in site selection by using ranking systems instead of personal relationships with certain clinics or doctors. - Examining real-world patient data quickly, at scale to pull out learnings on million of patients in a matter of days, not years. https://lnkd.in/gy848epU
