Pouya Yousefzadeh is our newest hire as Traffic Simulation Lead in the St. Louis office! He brings deep proficiency in both micro and macro simulation software, enabling accurate analysis and optimization of traffic systems to tackle complex modeling challenges and develop effective solutions; additionally, his experience includes managing diverse traffic engineering projects, conducting thorough safety analyses, implementing road safety measures, and leading and mentoring staff. In his new role, Pouya will be responsible for leading traffic simulation projects and ensuring their successful execution from start to finish, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and delivering high-quality results that meet client requirements. Lochmueller’s newest hire is Kyle Winling, Client Service Manager in our Fort Wayne office! He brings 25 years of experience—15 years with the Allen County, Indiana Highway Department and 10 years with the City of Fort Wayne—in design, coordination, and management of roads, bridges, and traffic projects, working with agencies, utilities, contractors, and communities on a variety of projects. In his new role, Kyle will be building relationships with communities to help them find solutions to their transportation needs in the most economical and beneficial way. Welcoming Jason Frericks, PE, PTOE, our newest Senior Project Manager in the Highway Design department! He brings 22 years of transportation engineering experience, working on a variety of traffic planning, roadway design, traffic signal design, and railroad engineering projects for DOTs, local governments, and private clients. Get to know Jason more 👇 What led you to your career path? “When I was in the 7th grade, my English teacher asked each of us to write a report on what we wanted to do when we grew up. I chose Civil Engineering since I wanted to be the one on the job site that knew what was going to be built. Now I enjoy seeing my work get constructed and solve real world problems. I enjoy transportation engineering since it has a community-focused impact of reducing congestion, improving drive times, and making roadways safer and smoother to travel.” #WhyWednesday What is your all-time favorite TV show or movie? “Any of the Bond movies.” This or that: Intersection, roundabout, or a different kind of innovative intersection? “It really depends on the situation and community you are located in. The traffic volumes may lend towards one type of intersection.
