Test your pavement marking knowledge 🤓🛣 How many of these do you remember from your driver's test? Here are the answers: 1. Broken yellow line = passing zone 🚗 You may cross a broken yellow line to pass another vehicle when it is safe. 2. Center turning lane ⤴ Busy roads on which there are many places a vehicle may make a left turn often have a center lane with pavement arrows designated solely for the left-turning vehicles. 3. Dedicated bike lane 🚲 Green colored pavement may be used to enhance the visibility of bike lanes. 4. Dedicated transit/bus lane 🚌 Red colored pavement may be used to enhance the visibility of bus or transit lanes that are designated for buses, taxis, or other modes of public transit. Are you a pavement marking prodigy? Lochmueller Group reposted this
🌿 A super big thank you to IN-CLIMATE for their annual summit, bringing members of the agriculture, technology, and energy industries together for open conversations on our current condition and how we can shape our paths ahead for a more sustainable, cost-effective, clean future. 🌾 Covering everything from AI Tech and Sustainability, Carbon Capture, Utility resource planning, to Bourbon distilling and ingredient farming practices, (one of my favorites!) this was a diverse group of people from areas that truly connected in all things business. 💥 Oh... and some cool headshots were taken as well. (yes... Mike shined his up for the day, as you can see!) Lochmueller Group is proud to sponsor this great organization! We NEED to keep the conversation going... thank you Sarah Beth Aubrey for making that happen! Becky Pettit, MBA Michael Howery Jennifer Lingeman

Welcoming Jason Frericks, PE, PTOE, our newest Senior Project Manager in the Highway Design department! He brings 22 years of transportation engineering experience, working on a variety of traffic planning, roadway design, traffic signal design, and railroad engineering projects for DOTs, local governments, and private clients. In his new role, Jason will be managing roadway projects, working on the traffic components within those projects, and helping build the Kansas City office team. Welcome to #LifeAtLochmueller, Jason! Get to know Jason more 👇 What led you to your career path? “When I was in the 7th grade, my English teacher asked each of us to write a report on what we wanted to do when we grew up. I chose Civil Engineering since I wanted to be the one on the job site that knew what was going to be built. Now I enjoy seeing my work get constructed and solve real world problems. I enjoy transportation engineering since it has a community-focused impact of reducing congestion, improving drive times, and making roadways safer and smoother to travel.” #WhyWednesday What is your all-time favorite TV show or movie? “Any of the Bond movies.” This or that: Intersection, roundabout, or a different kind of innovative intersection? “It really depends on the situation and community you are located in. The traffic volumes may lend towards one type of intersection. If I had to pick one innovative intersection, I would say diverging diamond interchanges; it really is a creative way to solve an intersection problem at interchanges.” #newhire #welcome #welcometotheteam #newemployee #seniorprojectmanager #projectmanager #PM #roadwaydesign #highwaydesign #transportationengineering #transportation #trafficplanning #trafficsignaldesign #railroadengineering #civilengineering #solvingrealworldproblems
