Lotus Gold Corporation (“Lotus”, or the “Company”) is pleased to announce, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, the Company signed the previously awarded Lotus Bid-Round 2 concessions with the Egyptian Government (“Siqdid”; 3 blocks and approximately 525 km2). Lotus has committed to invest a minimum of US$2.5M on Siqdid blocks. The Siqdid land package is contiguous to Lotus’ Bid-Round 1 blocks (7 blocks), as well as recently acquired blocks to the south, and consolidates a leading 2,350 km2 land package in the heart of the Egyptian Eastern Desert. This centrally located prospective land package is approximately 1 hour from Marsa Alam and Centamin’s Sukari Mine, with most key targets within 10-50 minutes from Lotus’ 40 person field camp. The Agreement was signed by Omar A. Nasser (Lotus Co-Founder, Director & Regional Manager) and Yasser Ramadan (Chairman of EMRA – The Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority). The signing was witnessed by HE Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources; HE Louis Dumas, the Canadian Ambassador to Egypt; Mike Silver (Lotus Co-Founder & CEO); Charles Stafford (Lotus ESG Manager, Safety & Field Operations); and accompanying delegations. Lotus expects to physically be on Bid-Round 2’s Siqdid blocks imminently, and looks forward to advancing expeditiously to define additional areas of interest and targets on these new blocks.
