New week, new face! Introducing our newest team member Cara Braithwaite, Show Coordinator for all three Kansas City Shows and the Des Moines Home + Garden Show. Cara impressed us during the 2023/2024 show season, where she excelled as temporary help in our show office. We knew from the first moment we met her, she was the perfect fit for Marketplace Events. Currently completing her degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Cara brings a wealth of event experience. She previously served as the event coordinator for Smithville Main Street District, where she played a key role in enhancing the downtown image and boosting pedestrian traffic. Welcome to MPE Cara, we’re confident you’ll achieve great things with us!

Marketplace Events is thrilled to announce the return of Zoe Watters as the Show Coordinator for the three Calgary Home Shows! Zoe has boomeranged back to us (safely!) with a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives. Zoe's journey with us began as a temp employee working on the Vancouver Home Shows, where her dedication and passion quickly propelled her into the role of Show | Office Administrator. Despite enduring a long and occasionally eventful commute, Zoe's infectious smile and knack for storytelling brightened our days. Good news, Zoe, we all work from home now! Throughout her tenure, Zoe has worked with multiple show teams across the Kivett Region, from Vancouver to Winnipeg and even the Arizona Wedding Shows. Her commitment to exhibitor and attendee satisfaction was second to none. Join the Calgary team in extending the warmest of welcomes back to Zoe. We're very pleased to have her back in the fold, and we can't wait to tackle the next show season with her!

Gianna Grisolia, Show Coordinator….joins Marketplace Events! Gianna joins our Salt Lake City and Denver show teams with 10 years of extensive experience in events. On a personal note, she’s becoming an aunt this year, has a small family that moved from Spain/Sicily originally and shares a home with her amazing partner Ryan. She’s a ‘aqua-fish’ – a nick name given to her by family – because she absolutely loves anything to do with the ocean and swimming. She also loves to go on motorcycle rides to listen to music and decompress and grows probably the biggest sunflowers you’ve ever seen. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Gianna!

Is that a bird? A plane? No, it’s a boomerang! We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Ted Wick back to the US consumer marketing team as Senior Marketing Manager! Ted originally started with us in 2016 as a Marketing Manager and has worked on many markets including the first show back post-Covid in Johnson County. After a brief hiatus, taking on a position with Wrestling World, he returns today ready to jump back in with supporting show teams to create successful upcoming shows! When not working you can find him watching reality TV and wedding planning with his fiancé, Taylor, and enjoying all kinds of music. Welcome back, Ted!

Meet Lizz Egan! Marketplace Events is thrilled to welcome Exhibit Sales Consultant, Lizz to our company joining our Salt Lake City Team. Lizz has an extensive background in advertising, sales, public relations and property management. When not making sales calls, you can find Lizz at the gym, enjoying happy hour with the meet-up group she runs or trying to find twisty roads as a certified motorcycle rider coach for the past 19 years. Welcome to MPE, Lizz!

We have a new sales pro at Marketplace Events! We are pleased to welcome Diana Keener, Exhibit Sales Consultant to our San Antonio Team. Diana comes to us with years of sales, marketing and event experience in the industry. Diana enjoys traveling along with walking and running, so much so she has completed 57 half marathons and 12 marathons. Join us in welcoming Diana to the MPE Family! 

Help us welcome our newest employee, Piper Newman. Piper will be working as the Show Coordinator for the Tacoma, Portland and Victorian Holiday Shows. Piper joins us from Lacey, WA with a degree in business management. With a cool, calm and collected demeanor and expertise in communications and customer service, we know she is going to be an excellent addition to the team. In her downtime, you can find her riding horses, playing with her dog or sipping a cup of tea while enjoying a good book. Welcome to MPE, Piper!

Welcome to the team, Dena Sablan! Marketplace Events is pleased to welcome Dena Sablan as the Show Manager for the Salt Lake Christmas Show. Dena has a degree in Communication and Psychology and comes to us with over 12 years of experience in the event world. When Dena isn’t working on shows she enjoys hiking, biking, and outdoor concerts!

Marketplace Events is growing! Introducing our newest employee Susie O’Brien Borer to our Northwest Team as an Exhibit Sales Consultant working on three annual holiday shows. Susie is a dedicated and hardworking sales professional with years of knowledge and experience with holiday shows. Marketplace Events is excited to welcome Roop Ghatoure, Exhibit Sales Consultant to Team Alberta selling the 3 Calgary Home Shows. Roop comes to us with previous show-floor experience from her past employment with LeafFilter. This in combination with her strong customer service skills and shining demeanor will make her unstoppable on the show floor. In Roop’s spare time, you might find her café hopping, baking, or behind a camera!
