Metrolink riders in San Bernardino County will soon be able to make their daily trips using cutting-edge technology: the first zero-emission, hydrogen-powered hybrid train in the U.S. has arrived in San Bernardino, with an aim to start passenger service later this year. The train will run on Metrolink's Arrow line, which links San Bernardino and Redlands, and will come with a host of bragging rights. The train, also known as FLIRT H2, broke a Guinness World Record this year for the longest distance traveled by a train of its type on a single charge.

#Feedback Friday: We're just going to let this one speak for itself. "Thank you, Metrolink, for always being there for me when I need to get to and from work. Your trains are always safe and comfortable to ride. Your conductors and engineers are courteous, expert professionals who care about their passengers. That care is shown in everything from the safe operation of the train to the smiles of the conductors when they answer a question, make an announcement, or greet passengers as they board and detrain. You’ve turned the daily commute from what would’ve been a traffic-filled worst time of day into a treat to look forward to in the morning and evening. I want you to know that I am grateful and appreciate everything you do."

#Feedback Friday: In an email we received entitled "Metrolink: My Redlands Family Away From Home," Arrow service rider Anika, an international student from Bangladesh, wrote to us about her adventures on Arrow with Clyde and Lorenzo. It's amazing how strangers can sometimes become family on public transportation. :)
