We toasted our 10 year anniversary yesterday with a party celebrating our team, our clients, our friends, our families. Words cannot adequately describe the gratitude we feel for the relationships we’ve built and the opportunities to work with so many fantastic people and brands. Cheers to the next 10 years!

Today’s the BIG DAY! 🥳 I’m officially a podcaster! Here’s the first episode of “Bring More Joy To The Table.” On top of my consulting, I’ve been working on the #journeybacktojoy for the past 4 years. This podcast is the next chapter of the journey!   What better way to kick things off with this interview with my good friend, Robin Blanchette! 🎉 Robin is the CEO of Norton Creative. In this episode, she shares her perspective on the creative challenges facing agencies today and a simple truth that is the core of her team’s success. Plus, you’ll hear why volunteering is foundational to who she is and what it was like starting her own company.     If you like what you hear, don’t forget to give the podcast 5-stars and subscribe so you don’t miss any episodes!! 🛎️ Available NOW on Spotify, Apple, or anywhere else you listen to your podcasts! We had an inspiring and exciting couple of days at the Best Practices Conference by GuestXM - Now Powered by Black Box Intelligence™ ! We appreciated the stories and experience shared by the speakers alongside the industry insights and data. From Monica Rothgery to Lisa W. Miller, Will Guidara, Emily Williams Knight, Ed.D., and especially our former colleague Marty Wadsworth! We walked away with stories, information, and ideas on building a more joyful, inclusive, sustainable industry focused on connecting people and providing unreasonable hospitality to our teammates and our clients.

We appreciated this recent The New York Times article (https://lnkd.in/gEgByAZZ) on menu trends for 2024 and loved that they called out some of our favorite hometown restaurants. More importantly, they highlighted some menu trends we’ve been working with since the pandemic: smaller, more operationally efficient menus, simplicity in the language, differentiated branding elements, and a focus on the people who bring the food to life.   In the ten years we’ve been around, we’ve designed hundreds of menus for brands of all shapes, sizes, ages, and stages. Every menu we design blends the unique visual identity of the brand with the power of data and menu engineering. The objective is always to help restaurants (whether it’s a one-unit fine-dining concept or a 2000-unit casual dining brand) showcase their most important and most profitable items to increase sales and dining frequency - items that pull consumers into the restaurant and – hopefully – back for more. See below for some of our recent work!

Congratulations to the team at Homeward Kitchen for the first of what we hope will be many locations centered around all-day comfort food served fast! We were delighted when the team at Golden Corral came to us to help them bring this new concept to life. From brand positioning to customer journey to signage and menu design, photography, and guest touch points, our team worked alongside the Homeward Kitchen group to help bring this brand to life. We have been honored to participate in the launch of this exciting new concept and look forward to continuing to help them grow as more of these pop up around the country in the coming months and years! Check them out – and definitely try the 12-Hour Potroast and the Cajun Mac and Cheese! We continued to be grateful for the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the best in the industry! Lance Trenary Paul “Skip" Hanke Dr. Darryl Mickler, DBA, MBA.
