Open Standards. Open Source.
About us
One of the most respected, member-driven standards bodies in the world, OASIS offers projects—including open source projects—a path to standardization and de jure approval for reference in international policy and procurement. OASIS has a broad technical agenda encompassing cybersecurity, privacy, cryptography, cloud computing, IoT, augmented reality... In fact, any initiative for developing code, APIs, specifications, or reference implementations can find a home at OASIS. Each project operates independently under industry-approved process and IPR policies. Some of the most widely adopted OASIS Standards include AMQP, CAP, CMIS, DITA, DocBook, KMIP, MQTT, OpenC2, OpenDocument, PKCS, SAML, STIX, TAXII, TOSCA, UBL, and XLIFF. Many of these have gone on to be published as ISO, IEC, or ITU standards. New work is encouraged, and all are welcome to participate. OASIS members can be found in 100+ countries on virtually every continent. Major multinational companies, SMEs, government agencies, universities, research institutions, consulting groups, and individuals are represented. Join OASIS and become part of this global community.

Data & Trust Alliance has announced the first cross-industry standards for data provenance, marking a pivotal moment for transparency in AI and data analytics. “OASIS is very pleased to be the future host of D&TA Data Provenance Standards, vital for tackling today's crucial data and AI challenges,” said Francis Beland, Executive Director, OASIS Open. “Bringing these standards to OASIS will help drive their global advancement and adoption, and we look forward to enhancing the interoperability, transparency, and effectiveness of these standards through collaborative efforts across diverse sectors.” https://lnkd.in/eyi4nZwR #DataStandards #DataProvenance #AI #transparency #OASISOpen #OpenStandards #standards #ResponsibleAI #data #collaboration
Today, we’re delighted to share v1.0.0 of the D&TA Data Provenance Standards—designed to provide transparency into the origin and use of datasets for both #artificialintelligence and traditional #data applications. Since we last shared a draft in November, there has been much progress: The standards have been tested and validated by 50+ organizations inside and outside the Alliance. We’re mapping to other frameworks and standards, and have built an adoption kit to support implementation. We are speaking to data providers and toolset providers about adoption. The goal? Ecosystem-wide adoption to increase transparency in data. Read our announcement here: https://lnkd.in/eyi4nZwR Explore the Standards, including our full adoption kit designed for practitioners in data acquisition, procurement, data governance and compliance here: https://lnkd.in/et8ejH_V #responsibleai #datagovernance #dataprovenance Thank you to our member companies and the many experts who have been instrumental in development.
