Since 2017, OG&E has teamed up with Tinker Air Force Base to complete several energy conservation projects through our Continuous Energy Improvement Program, significantly reducing energy consumption across the base. Furthering Tinker's commitment to energy efficiency and reduced energy costs, this latest round of projects resulted in more than $306,000 in incentives from OG&E. It's our honor to partner with those who protect our country.

Empowering the next generation of leaders is important. OG&E worked with 96 middle schoolers at the Construct My Future camp at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, teaching students about careers in the utility industry. Students learned about reading blueprints, applying hardware to electric poles and building electrical circuits, among many other skilled trades and career paths. The future looks bright!

Kids from local schools and a nonprofit organization made a splash at our Horseshoe Lake and River Valley Power Plant fishing clinics while learning about aquatic ecosystems and reeling in the fun with OG&E volunteers. Thanks to our friends at the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation, students learned about safe and sustainable ways to enjoy our local water system.

Pollinators are a vital part in maintaining a healthy and sustainable ecosystem. We partnered with Scissortail Park Foundation to create Pollinator Pockets — green spaces throughout the park that include new plantings to support pollinators and educational signage to learn about the pollination process. Happy #PollinatorWeek

The future is bright with OG&E interns leading the way in the industry and the community. 22 interns lent a hand at OKC City Rescue Mission, prepping and serving meals, assisting with maintenance work, helping in the donation resource center and organizing the kids' closet. Great work! We're excited to have you in our #BigOrange family.

Did you know we partner with the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden and provide browse materials to various animals? Each week, our vegetation management team delivers some trees and limbs that have been trimmed away from power lines, providing nutritious treats to the animals. A big-hearted group of 50 OG&E volunteers worked for two days to help renovate a family's home in partnership with Rebuilding Together. We repaired siding and trim, installed new floors, and gave everything a fresh coat of paint. We feel grateful for the chance to help make this home a safer place to live!
