With a three-year service commitment to the State of Ohio, you will immediately earn $25 an hour, attend an intensive four-week tech bootcamp in your chosen field, and receive: - Tuition or loan reimbursement of $20,000 or $40,000. - Access to quality, competitive benefits as an employee of the State of Ohio. - $4,500 annually for industry certifications and professional development. - On-the-job training and mentorship opportunities from industry professionals. - Private-sector job placement upon completion of ODA program. In the early decades of Ohio's statehood, a doctor from New York decided to establish a practice in the bustling city of Cincinnati. He quickly discovered two things: He'd rather live in a less-populated town, and he wanted to concentrate on the field of dentistry. Dr. John Harris settled in the tiny Ross County village of Bainbridge, some 75 miles east of the big city. He set up shop in a small house on Main Street, and a couple of years later began to teach students about fixing teeth. With that initial class in 1827, Dr. Harris established the first dental school in the United States. That surprising fact, as well as history of early dentistry and implements of many kinds, can be discovered at the Dr. John Harris Dental Museum, housed in the same building on West Main Street where Harris lived and practiced. https://lnkd.in/gx7tjCQj

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ 76th state park celebrates Ohio’s Shawnee history and pioneer past.
