🌟Happy to be in New Hampshire at Cooperative Credit Union Association’s Fintech Connect Event. It’s always great to chat with credit unions who are thinking proactively about embracing and leveraging technology. Yesterday’s preconference included an awesome panel on Financial Empowerment led by Melissa Pomeroy engaging with Rhian Horgan from Silvur, Shreenath R. from Starlight and Crissi Cole from Penny Finance. It was very cool to hear the perspectives across the seasons of life (Gen Z —> retirement). One of the key points driven home by Crissi is that financial empowerment does not equate to financial education…but the confidence, power, and choice/freedom to make the right decisions. It’s exciting to see that credit unions have all these opportunities to empower their members - definitely check out what these companies are up to!
