Congratulations to Sip Yard Port Aransas 🎉 Port Aransas is thrilled to welcome the Sip Yard to the island. This three-story bar, restaurant, and music venue is a spot like no other in town. This ribbon cutting was a great way to celebrate and welcome this new venture to our shores!

Crystal Clear Pools of Port A was established in 1999. They perform swimming pool cleaning and equipment repair around the Coastal Bend area. They also deliver chemicals and parts to properties in Port Aransas. The Service Manager, Jeremy Johnson, was born and raised in Port Aransas and has been with the company for 18 years! Crystal Clear Pools of Port A has supported various local nonprofits, including the dog park, youth sports, and schools. Final Hurricane Beryl update from Port Aransas is that ferry operations have resumed as usual as of 6 a.m. this morning, Monday, July 8. Please continue to send your support and goodwill to Matagorda Bay, Galveston, Houston, and all other affected areas.

Another update on Tropical Storm/Hurricane Beryl: TxDOT Ferry Operations have notified the City of Port Aransas that ferry operations will be suspended on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at noon due to storm impacts. Those planning to leave Port Aransas should expect significant delays and plan accordingly.

Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Port Aransas is issuing a mandatory visitor evacuation to go into effect at noon on Sunday, July 7. All visitors should be off the island in advance of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Beryl's landfall. This does NOT include permanent residents and property owners. Party Tent Rental #1 erects the super cool 36' octagonal and 36' X 50' tension tents on the Port Aransas beach up to Marker 42. They provide tents for the Farley Boat Works Festival and local Port A schools, plus they have donated their tent for Education Foundation fundraisers and other charitable benefits.

Island Construction opened in 1962. Over the past sixty years, they have built and rebuilt over 90% of the streets in Port Aransas. They built narrow streets in the early sixties and seventies using mostly oyster shell base material. As the city grew, it evolved into multi-lane asphalt streets made with crushed concrete base material and added walkable concrete sidewalks and curb and gutter systems. The Island Construction team is proud to be a local family-owned and operated company that has been a part of these important improvements. Island Construction has supported various nonprofit organizations, churches, and groups, both publicly and privately, for the past sixty years. They like to spread their charitable contributions throughout the community. However, they strongly support the education of local youth and local first responders. Outside of their main line of business, which is street work, underground utilities, subdivision development, and heavy construction, Island Construction also offers raw material sales such as native fill sand, base materials, crushed granite, rocks, and aggregates for various construction and landscaping needs.
