Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York

About us

Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York is led by a team of doctors and scientists with extensive reproductive endocrinology, fertility and urology experience and training. It is recognized as a national and international leader in state-of-the-art reproductive medicine. Our physicians provide patient care at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and are specialists at diagnosing and treating infertility. Low-tech (e.g. intrauterine inseminations) and high-tech (i.e. genetic screening of embryos) treatments are used for both rare and common cases of male factor and female factor infertility. RMA of New York’s egg and embryo freezing programs help thousands of women and couples preserve their reproductive options. Our team achieves high IVF success rates, and our research breakthroughs and continuous improvement in laboratory processes and patient care protocols have made us one of the top IVF centers in the world. RMA of New York is committed to supporting access to care. We provide a financial coordinator to each patient to assist in insurance coverage exploration and financing. We are sensitive to the needs of the LGBTQ community, known for our same sex parenting program and have been recognized by the Healthcare Equality Index as a leader in LGBTQ care. Women who choose to be single mothers are provided with clinical and emotional support, and we are dedicated to providing patients the highest quality care in a compassionate and supportive manner. Congratulations to the research team at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and RMA of New York. The study is landmark in that it reassures patients undergoing egg freezing that they can keep an IUD in place or remain on birth control pills up until the time of treatment and not adversely affect outcome. This paper is impactful and empowering to patients and physicians everywhere: https://lnkd.in/edJ6Fd-c

“A team of angels just swooped in,” reflects patient Alexandria on her experience with the RMA of New York - Westchester team. The week of her 38th birthday, Alexandria went in for an MRI. The results: a triple-positive Breast Cancer diagnosis. Days after receiving the news, Alexandria was through the doors of our White Plains practice, meeting with Matthew Lederman, M.D. to discuss her fertility preservation options ahead of cancer-treatment. She swiftly began the egg freezing process. Having a four-time cancer survivor as a mom, Alexandria knew there was an increased risk that she, too, could have this disease. Through her treatment, the roles reversed; Alexandria went from being her mom’s caretaker to her mom being hers. Shortly thereafter, Alexandria went in for her double-mastectomy, “an unconventional Valentine’s Day gift.” With a few weeks before chemotherapy began, Alexandria squeezed in a second round of egg freezing, retrieved at our Mount Kisco clinic and thankfully, covered by a The Chick Mission Hope Grant. Reflecting on the process, Alexandria shares, “Dr. Lederman’s advocacy and passion for [oncofertility] was infectious. He really got what I was going through - and just how escalated the timeline needed to be. His team was incredible - and I’m happy to talk to any patients going through this. While it’s certainly not easy, having RMANY’s support made everything smoother.” ___ Thank you, Lex, for sharing your story – your strength is inspirational, and we’re honored to have played a role in preserving your future fertility options. 💙 Learn more about RMA of New York’s commitment to oncofertility: https://lnkd.in/eDzzuK-4

This weekend, members of the RMANY team — including Dr. Rachel Danis and Phillip Romanski MD, MSc — celebrated the LGBTQIA+ Community at Pridefest! 🌈 The annual street fair combined exhibitors, entertainers, food, and activities for a day of fun and celebration in the name of equality. This year, RMA of New York partnered with Mount Sinai Health System and hosted games, handed out Pride-themed giveaways, and shared information about our services and family-building options! It was a joyous afternoon — and the team had a blast connecting with everyone who stopped by the booth!

Let’s go, baby! 🏀 This weekend, RMA of New York proudly presented the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association)’s NY LIBERTY Pride Game, hosted at Barclays Center. Physicians, Embryologists, nurses, financial coordinators and more of our team were out supporting the Seafoam nation - playing just blocks away from the RMANY Brooklyn Practice! A highlight for us was to be able to connect with hundreds of fans, experiencing heartfelt moments with so many, including former RMANY patients and their families! We were also proud to present a donation in support of Hetrick-Martin Institute: creating communities, connecting youth and changing systems of care for queer and trans youth. We’re excited to broaden education about reproductive health, support access to care, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Thank you to the NY Liberty for this synergistic partnership! Tonight at 5:30 PM, we hope you'll join our Fertility 101 webinar, led by Natan Bar-Chama, M.D. and Rachel Gerber, M.D.: https://lnkd.in/eYXTWdwK In honor of Men's Health month, the session will focus on male-factor. Infertility is common, and affects up to 20% of couples trying to conceive. In 40-50% of these cases, the male contributes to the infertility process. At RMANY, we’re able to focus on this evaluation very early on in this journey, and we encourage the consultation of the male to be done in parallel with the female, in order to provide the most holistic and seamless treatment. Common causes of male infertility include physiological abnormalities, such as dilated veins (varicocele) and low testosterone. A consultation of male fertility at RMA of New York includes a semen analysis and a focused reproductive history, led by our Head Urologist, Dr. Natan Bar-Chama who works closely with our team of REIs.

We are immensely grateful to the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) ‘s NY LIBERTY and their corporate partner, RMA of New York, for their generous $5,000 donation to HMI! They invited us to their home game at Barclays Center on Saturday, June 22, where our Senior Director of Youth Development, Lazara Paz-Gonzalez, DrPH(s) and General Case Manager, Tara Chee, LMSW proudly accepted the check.   It was an unforgettable evening, and an honor to be recognized in front of thousands at the event for our work to support queer and trans youth. Lazara and Tara had an incredible time at the pride-themed game, and the energy in the arena was absolutely electric! 🌈🏀   Check out the highlights in our gallery at hmi.org/pride.
