Excited to share this recently published paper, co-authored by John Dirkman, PE, "Heterogeneous Reinforcement Learning for Defending Power Grids Against Attacks". This research addresses a critical limitation inherent in using reinforcement learning (RL) for protecting power grids from cyberattacks. With complex power grids, the action space for simulating attacks and improving resilience expands exponentially, making it difficult for RL agents to explore and find effective solutions efficiently. This innovative TGCN framework offers a scalable solution for safeguarding cyber-physical systems against attacks. https://lnkd.in/gU6K23Wi Congratulations to John and the entire team for this significant contribution to power grid resilience and security! #CyberSecurity #SmartGrid #ReinforcementLearning @Amin Moradi, @Shirin Panahi, @Zheng-Meng Zha, Yang Weng and Ying-Cheng Lai

We're thrilled to share how EnableUtah, a nonprofit in Ogden, UT, is making strides with Rocky Mountain Power’s Wattsmart Business Program! EnableUtah, dedicated to helping people with disabilities find employment and develop job skills, recently upgraded their HVAC system for better efficiency and savings. This project will save them an estimated $2,418 annually in energy costs, and program incentives helped decrease the total project cost from $42,500 to $10,000. 👏💡

Thrilled to announce our contract win with AESC, Inc., Earth Advantage, and ASK Energy, Inc. to implement Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Measured Savings Program for Summer Reliability for 2024-2028. The Program will serve both commercial and residential customer markets and will be launched later this summer pending CPUC Advice Letter approval. These programs are designed to deliver measurable impacts at the meter through demand side interventions including building retrofits, optimization, and load flexibility strategies. The residential program will coordinate with the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)-funded HOMES program, to enable more streamlined stacking of available incentives. We're excited to partner with project developers to build a robust project pipeline.
