Lucky for us we have office locations with beautiful summers. And we definitely took advantage of it this past June! Engineering in San Francisco: A few of awesome engineers were able to attend Owner's Night hosted by CMAA, ACEC, and BuildOUT in San Francisco. They had an excellent time in Salesforce park! San Leandro Summer Picnic Baseball: Summer has started and our team up in the bay enjoyed an outing to a Giants game! Ventura Summer Picnic: Meanwhile, our Ventura team's picnic included caricatures, lots of snacks, and games! PCBC: The team as always thoroughly enjoyed learning from both sessions and talking with our industry peers at PCBC this year, a big shout to the team at PCBC for an excellent awards dinner and closing event. The team had a blast! Greater Greener: Two of our Seattle landscape architects loved attending RRM's first Greater Greener conference and are look forward to next year. And as the team put it "it was an exceptionally beautiful day!" Happy Hour: If they weren't busy enough, the San Leandro team made some time after work to spend time together with guests from other offices!

Take a look at this education project for Solvang School District! The RRM design team developed this Culinary Arts building and upper school campus entrance, a modern take on the local, Danish inspired vernacular. The project features the high-pitched gabled roofs and dormers, unifying the roofline and overall form of the building. But this project isn't only beautiful, it's highly functional! In solving the problem of food getting cold during transport from the lower campus kitchen to the upper campus, Solvang School District gained an exponential benefit by designing the new prep kitchen to also function as a classroom. The new facility created an opportunity for the middle school to extend its curriculum and offer a culinary program for generations of students who will use the functioning kitchen as a hands-on classroom and get a head start on career technical education. #RRM #RRMDesign #architecture #education

We're designing Seaside Fire Station No. 2! This station will include office space, firefighter living and sleeping quarters, two apparatus bays and associated support spaces, as well as an auxiliary apparatus storage building and location for future training grounds on am approximately 4.5-acre site.
