Please welcome the newest member of our team, Matt Hune, LMSW, Psychotherapist! Matt Hune, LMSW, is a psychotherapist who works with adults, adolescents, and couples. He holds a graduate degree from Boston University where he focused research on psychodynamic interventions. He received his undergraduate education at DePaul University in Chicago. Matt is committed to serving others by facilitating both healing and creative spaces. Alongside his therapeutic work, Matt maintains a professional theatre practice where he currently serves as the artistic director of Rec Room Arts in downtown Houston, an organization dedicated to improving social wellbeing through the research and presentation of theatre. Despite the physical limitations and modest size of its downtown building, Matt has led Rec Room Arts into the forefront of Houston theatre institutions. Through his work at Rec Room Arts, he has made it a primary goal to increase the reach of community programming and explore the inherent benefits of experiencing theatre events. Matt believes that the elements of imagination, curiosity, and attention are present in both theatre and the therapeutic process, whereby both therapy and the arts have the power to nurture radical growth. His areas of interest include identity, suffering, imagination, myth, archetype, and relational healing. Matt has previously taught at Kinder HSPVA and Rice University Shepherd School of Music. Under the supervision of Noemi Chenu, LCSW-S. To book a session with Matt, please text or call +1 (713) 526-4444 today! 📲 - - - #psychotherapy #lmsw #houstontx #bipoctherapy #bipoctherapist #collectiveresiliency #traumainformed #traumatherapy #healing #holistichealing
