About us
Homelessness has grown to crisis proportions in Orange County. Too many of our fellow neighbors have lost hope. Veterans who fought for our freedom are now fighting for a place to call home. People with disabilities often find themselves chronically homeless. If we don't tackle this now through a comprehensive community-wide solution, it will spiral out of control.

On Wednesday the team celebrated property providers who are part of WelcomeHomeOC, an incentive program that helps individuals, veterans, and families experiencing homelessness secure housing in private market apartments, reducing barriers and risk for both tenants and landlords! It is a win-win solution as property providers benefit from guaranteed rental income, an easy tenant selection process, and damage protections. Voucher holders are provided with move-in support and 12 months of housing stabilization services to support them in maintaining their housing placement. Learn more about the program below and enjoy some of the photos from the event :) https://lnkd.in/guZ3exVr Ami Lief Matthew Sheehan Michael Shepherd Becks Heyhoe-Khalil United to End Homelessness Sue Parks

The One Metro West housing development in Costa Mesa will consist of about 106 apartments dedicated to affordable housing for low and very low-income households! 🙌 "As you know, very little housing has been approved in Costa Mesa over the last eight years. And lack of housing is at the core of so many of society's issues," said Brent Stoll, a partner for the developer Rose Equities, at a council meeting in early June. Construction may begin as soon as 2025 after more than half a decade of efforts to break ground. 📰 Stay informed and help support ideas that #EndHomelessnessOC for vulnerable families: https://bit.ly/45TzTkP

These motel conversions created 153 new affordable housing units, including units reserved for local veterans. This incredibly vital step towards the goal to #EndHomelessnessOC is part of a state-wide effort to build affordable housing for those who are either already experiencing homelessness or at risk. Comment 🎉 to join us in celebrating this housing victory!
