Happy 4th of July from your friends at WellHaven Pet Health! Here are 5 tips for you and your pets on this holiday! 1. Keep pets indoors: The loud noises and bright lights of fireworks can be extremely frightening for pets. Make sure to keep them in a secure and quiet room inside the house. 2. Create a safe space: Set up a cozy and comfortable area for your pet to retreat to if they are feeling overwhelmed by the festivities. This could be a crate or a favorite hiding spot. 3. Drown out the noise: Turning on some soothing music or white noise can help drown out the sound of fireworks and make your pet feel more at ease. 4. Avoid taking pets to fireworks displays: Even if your pet is usually well-behaved, the loud noises and crowded environment of a fireworks display can cause them to panic or potentially get lost in the chaos. 5. Update identification tags: In case your pet does happen to escape during Fourth of July celebrations, make sure their ID tags are up-to-date with current contact information. #wellhaven #fourthofjuly #pets #pettips
